Segway Edmonton's tour of the Edmonton River Valley is the first of it's kind.

This all inclusive 1 hour experience begins with a very thorough training program for riders of all  experience levels. Upon arrival to Louise Mckinney park you will watch a safety video about the operation of the Segway. We will then conduct our Segway Training Clinic to cover all the skills required to safely operate a Segway.

Once this is completed, the remainder of the time will be on tour through the River Valley with short stops to talk about the River Valley and the Segways. There will be a couple points where we will show you the top speed of the Segway in a safe, controlled environment.

 These tours are outdoors. Be sure to check local weather reports as we operate rain or shine. Bring appropriate clothing.

Reservations must be made 24 hours in advance.

Minimum number of riders per booking is 2. Please call us if you would like to book a single rider.

Riders must:

• Be age 14 and up and over 60lbs (30kg).

• Be able to easily and quickly step on and off the Segway without assistance, which requires physical abilities similar to climbing and descending stairs without any assistance or use of a handrail. You will be standing for 2 hours.

• Weigh between 60 and 250 pounds (30 to 113 kilos).

• Wear the helmet that is provided with the tour or provide a similar multi-impact sports helmet (must be CSA approved)

• Not wear flip-flops, open-toe sandals, or high heels.

• Complete the Segway Training Clinic and test ride.

• Respect road signs, pedestrians, bikes and cars for a safe, enjoyable ride.

• Riders are responsible for all damage to equipment and will be required to pay damage fees as assessed by a company manager.

• Riders will be required to sign a waiver of liability.

• Routes are mainly on designated bike lanes. Similar to a bike ride, you will have to be aware of your surrounding and other bike lanes users.

Upon arrival, you will be required to view a quick safety video.

Upon completion, you will cover skills such as:

• Circle of Seg Basics
• Hills
• Transitions
• Speed Limiter
• Potholes & Rumble Strips
• Pull Over and Stop Procedure
• Speed Zones

After completing our Segway Training Clinic, we will glide through the River Valley at varying speeds through a route designed to expose you to the beauty of this natural parkland.

Cancellation Policy

PLEASE READ:

Any tours (paid for via cash, credit card, debit, gift certificate or promo coupons - eg Groupon etc.) that are cancelled 48hrs.or more before the tour may be exchanged for a gift certificate and re-booked at a more convenient date. Tours cancelled with less than 48hrs. notice will not be refunded under any circumstances. Gift certificates and promo coupons will be forfeited and become null and void.

PLEASE NOTE: our tours will run rain or shine unless conditions are deemed unsafe my our tour guide. Should a tour be cancelled due to unsafe conditions, gift certificates for segway tours of the same value will be issued to participants for later use.

YOU MUST BE ON TIME OR EARLY!!! If you are late the tour will commence without you. There will be no refunds to participants whom are late. Gift certificates and promo coupons will be forfeited and become null and void. Tours will not be rescheduled.

We reserve the right to end the ride of any participants whom are riding in a dangerous fashion, are under the influence of drugs or alcohol or are not obeying the instructions of our tour guides.

Our Segway Tours depart from Louise McKinney park which is located on the southside of the Shaw Conference Center. From the parking lot south of the Shaw Conference Center walk down the service road towards the river and you will see us in front of the two buildings waiting for you.
