Have you ever wondered what it feels like to operate a Segway Personal Transporter?

 

Most people have seen it before, but until you have test driven a Segway for yourself you have not experienced this revolutionary eco-friendly transportation. The Segway Personal transporter is the world’s first self balanced ridable transportation and operates without a traditional throttle or brake. It moves as an extension of your body, if you move it moves with you. You lean forward to go forward and lean back to stop. It feels like you are gliding on air and you will have to fight to hold back the smile. It is incredibly intuitive and a very addictive form of fun.

 

Our 30 minute Segway River Valley clinic is conducted by Segway authorized trainers with over 6 years of experience to ensure you are very comfortable and learn. Our Segway clinic has been designed using our experience operating tours over 6 years as well as the training we do with commercial organizations such as the RCMP. The clinic is mandatory to complete from the Alberta Government in order to join us on any of our Segway guided tours. It has designed to ensure you are a safe operator of the Segway PT and allows you to book any of our tour services throughout Alberta.

For groups larger than six, please contact us for more information. **Be sure to print out your Voucher included in your booking confirmation e-mail and bring it with you. Without this voucher, we are not able to check you in before the tour begins.**  These tours are outdoors. Be sure to check local weather reports as we operate rain or shine. Bring appropriate clothing. Reservation is not confirmed until payment is received. Reservations must be made 24 hours in advance. Minimum number of riders per booking is 2. Please call us if you would like to book a single rider. Riders must: Be age 14 and up and over 60lbs (30kg). Be able to easily and quickly step on and off the Segway without assistance, which requires physical abilities similar to climbing and descending stairs without any assistance or use of a handrail. You will be standing for 2 hours. Weigh between 60 and 250 pounds (30 to 113 kilos). Wear the helmet that is provided with the tour or provide a similar multi-impact sports helmet (must be CSA approved) Not wear flip-flops, open-toe sandals, or high heels. Complete the Segway Training Clinic and test ride. Respect road signs, pedestrians, bikes and cars for a safe, enjoyable ride. Riders are responsible for all damage to equipment and will be required to pay damage fees as assessed by a company manager. Riders will be required to sign a waiver of liability. Routes are mainly on designated bike lanes. Similar to a bike ride, you will have to be aware of your surrounding and other bike lanes users.

Cancellation Policy

PLEASE READ:

Any tours (paid for via cash, credit card, debit, gift certificate or promo coupons - eg Groupon etc.) that are cancelled 48hrs.or more before the tour may be exchanged for a gift certificate and re-booked at a more convenient date. Tours cancelled with less than 48hrs. notice will not be refunded under any circumstances. Gift certificates and promo coupons will be forfeited and become null and void.

YOU MUST BE ON TIME OR EARLY!!! If you are late you will cut into your own tour time as tours are booked back to back! BE CONSIDERATE of the other participants on your tour as you will also be cuttimg into their tour times.

There will be no refunds to participants whom are late. Gift certificates and promo coupons will be forfeited and become null and void. Tours will not be rescheduled.

Our Segway Tours depart from Louise McKinney park which is located on the southside of the Shaw Conference Center. From the parking lot south of the Shaw Conference Center walk down the service road towards the river and you will see us in front of the two buildings waiting for you.
